Our “Farmschool” workshops are designed with growing minds in mind. Each one blends outdoor discovery, meaningful connection, and just the right amount of dirt.
Each Workshop features:
- Discussion of the topic in an outdoor learning environment
- Participation in a hands on activity that each student can take home
- Supplemental educational resources for future lessons at home
what to expect
Learn with the land as your classroom
Our farm isn’t just a backdrop—it’s one of the best teachers around. Each workshop begins with a guided, interactive lesson held outdoors, where kids can follow their curiosity alongside the rustling grass and the hum of bees. And yes, it’s not uncommon for a friendly chicken or goat to wander by.
Make, build, and take it home
We believe learning sticks better when little hands get moving. Every child will participate in a thoughtful, hands-on activity that connects back to the lesson—and they’ll head home with something meaningful they created themselves.
Keep the learning going
Parents receive simple, beautifully made resources to carry the conversation home. Whether it’s planting guides, activity prompts, or food preservation tips, we make sure you’ve got something to build on long after the day is done.
Stay awhile and share a meal
After class, you’re welcome to linger for another hour. Bring a packed lunch and enjoy it out under the open sky while the kids play and decompress. It’s your picnic—your pace. While parents and caregivers supervise, we’ll be tending the fields or refilling the water trough.

Class size: 10–24 participants- Got a smaller group? We may open it up to other homeschoolers in the area—because not all learning is done with classmates, and we want solo learners to feel part of something too.

Make it from scratch

Little loaves (bread making class) From wheat berry to warm loaf—let’s get kneading.

Sew crafty (Indoor) Learn hand stitching and machine sewing to craft your own cloth bread bag.

Food preservation station Explore ways to save the harvest, make your own preserved snack, and talk about seasonality.
Plants & Gardens

The plant life cycle Hands-in-the-dirt discovery, plus your own seedling to nurture at home.

Grow your own herb garden Learn to sow, taste fresh flavors, and prep for your spring garden.

Composting: from trash to treasure Make sense of scraps, meet decomposition in action, and bring home DIY compost instructions.

Fall gardening Build a mini raised bed, learn about root veggies and soil-saving strategies.
Seasonal celebrations

An apple a day (Sept–Nov) From roots to harvest to apple butter in the kitchen.

Pumpkin party Cook, craft, and feed leftover pumpkins to our animal friends.

Turkey trot! (Oct–Nov) Learn about turkeys and prepare a seasonal dish to freeze and share at Thanksgiving.

Valentine’s pastry class (Indoor) Bake treats, craft with love, and learn the story behind the holiday.

Salt dough ornament class Craft simple keepsakes with homemade dough and old-fashioned fun.

Christmas cookie exchange Bake, decorate, and enjoy the magic of sharing sweets.

Wreath making (teen class) Forage with us and weave a vine wreath to take home.
What ages are your classes for?
Most are designed for kids ages 4 to 11, with select classes for older students too. Younger siblings are welcome to tag along under parent supervision.
Do parents stay?
Yes! These are not drop-off classes. In fact, we welcome grown-ups to join in the learning, ask questions, and explore right alongside their kids.
Do you offer family discounts?
We sure do. We understand the costs of homeschooling multiple children—and we’re happy to work with you.
