How Your Kids Can Have A Healthy Relationship With Food And The Environment… Without Screen Time!

Most kids these days spend too much time in front of screens and not enough time outside getting fresh air and exercise. Not only is this bad for their physical health, but it can also be bad for their mental health.

Kids need to run around and explore, not sit in front of a TV or computer all day long.

What The Farm Kids Camp is the perfect solution. Our summer camp offers kids a chance to have fun outdoors while learning about sustainable agriculture practices and healthy eating.

Early data from a landmark National Institutes of Health (NIH) study that began in 2018 indicates that children who spent more than two hours a day on screen-time activities scored lower on language and thinking tests, and some children with more than seven hours a day of screen time experienced thinning of the brain’s cortex, the area of the brain related to critical thinking and reasoning. The truth is every mom in America has been in your shoes. Without fun and unique experiences to involve kids in – they remain unstimulated, lack necessary creative skills, and aren’t connecting with the outdoors as much as they should.

  • understand where their food comes from and possibly changing their minds about vegetables?

  • enhance sensory stimulation while connecting with the great outdoors?

  • become more comfortable cooking and eating things they’ve made?
  • understand how vital their role is in producing the food that feeds them, their families, and their friends?
  • use their imagination and natural curiosity in a farm setting?

“Children thrive on the farm, away from electronics, and in the elements where they can truly be kids. It’s a great investment in the next generation’s health and their support for agriculture as they grow older.”
